Article Processing Charge (APC)
This article processing charge has been applied since July 1, 2026.

All the articles published in the Darul Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education and Research are freely available online (open access). 

To make it possible, there is an article processing charge (APC) to cover the range of our publishing services. The payments include the provision of online tools for editors and authors, article producing and journal web-hosting, web domain, web-security, digital object identifier (DOI) crossref, similarity check with Turnitin [premium access] (Result will be sent to authors upon request), proofread, final article layout, article abstracting and indexing services, provision of a letter of acceptance (LoA), and customer services.

During the submission and peer-review process, there are no charges. The APC is charged to the author when their manuscript is editorially accepted or before the publication with the amount IDR 250.000K from Indonesian authors, a lecturer and an author that has support from a research grant that is stated in the paper's acknowledgements and 15$ USD from the international authors. Articles by graduate students and others based on need will be evaluated case-by-case for a waiver of the publication fee. Further information to make payments will be notified along with the status of their manuscript being editorially accepted.
